FreeState Justice

FreeState Justice provides legal services to low-income lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Maryland residents. We provide assistance with the following types of cases: Name changes. Gender marker changes on birth certificates or State-issued identification. Discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity in employment, housing, health care, school, public accommodations, and prisons/detention centers. Family law matters, including divorce or dissolution, child custody, child support, adoption. Legal protection from harassment or harm, including intimate partner (domestic) violence.
