DC’s black bearded beauty began her drag career in the spring of 2018 quickly making a name for herself in the local scene and securing the title of the third winner of “DC Drag Wars.” \nBeyond her performances\, Vagenesis is a dedicated activist\, advocating for diverse forms of drag\, queer individuals\, and performers of color. She founded Black Label\, a showcase highlighting Black queer artistry. She is one of the cofounders of Highball Productions – a theatre company that produces drag parodies of famous musicals. DESCRIPTION:This event has been postponed to January 24\, 2026.  Tickets will be refunded or honored for the January 24th event.  Please get in touch with Maryland Hall if you have questions.   \n  \nBIGKID DANCE: If I Die Before the Revolution \nSaturday\, September 20th\, 2025 @ 7:30PM \nTickets from $35 to $45 \nPhiladelphia’s BigKid Dance presents the world premiere performance of their newest contemporary dance-theater work\, If I Die Before the Revolution\, this fall at Maryland Hall. \nIf I Die Before the Revolution acts as a fantasized eulogy and valediction for a group of queer people trying to survive a crumbling world chasing them to their doom. \nThis dance work portrays a paracosm of a queer experience in today’s society\, reflecting fear\, love\, identity crisis\, loneliness\, death\, a yearning for unrealized dreams and a hope to leave behind an impactful legacy. As time ticks down to the inevitable end\, the ‘queer’ archetype deals with the reality of feeling invisible while fighting to stake their \nLed by luminary artistic director Mark Caserta\, Big Kid Dance is a queer movement community based in Philadelphia. They create collaborative\, thought-provoking contemporary dance works reflecting on love\, grief\, curiosity\, fear and identity in today’s society primarily through a queer lens.

DESCRIPTION:The Fifth Annual Annapolis Pride Parade and Festival kicks off with the Parade starting at 10:00 AM\, beginning near St. John’s College and turning at Amos Garrett to join the Festival at Maryland Hall and the Wiley Bates Fields.  The festival will run from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  We anticipate more than 200 participants between the parade and the festival.  The maps can be viewed here. \nA section will be set aside for individuals with disabilities/mobility challenges near the intersection of West Street and Amos Garrett\, and ASL interpreters will be available for each of the two stages. \nMore information can be found on our webpage at : https://www.annapolispride.org/parade-info/\, and we will be updating it regularly.
