DESCRIPTION:Join us as we explore the different ways queer communities have been represented throughout the history of Hollywood cinema. \nEach week we will analyze a different Hollywood film from different decades and the way they represented queer individuals. We’ll begin with an intro about the film’s production\, director\, stars\, and its cultural impact on queer and non-queer cinema\, then we’ll watch the film and finish off with a group discussion about our reactions. \nAll About Eve (1950) \nWritten and directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz\, All About Eve was originally coded as a Cold War era cautionary tale about lesbians undermining and destabilizing the heteronormative structure of society. The film follows aging Broadway star Margo Channing and her obsessed fan Eve Harrington who would do anything it takes to become Margo. Since its release this film has been reclaimed by the queer community as a wonderful examination of the effects of repressed desire. Giving us famous lines such as “Buckle up your seatbelts\, it’s going to be a bumpy night.” With Oscar winning performances\, All About Eve is a must-see classic. \n138min. Not Rated

We’ll examine the way Hitchcock preyed on mainstream misconceptions to create his infamous serial killer Norman Bates\, as well as how the tropes introduced in Psycho plague Hollywood to this day. \n109 min. Games shifted to 12 and 2 PM.\n\nThe Severn River Honey Badgers got their start in 2006 as a part of Severn River Rugby\, founded over 40 years ago with the mission of growing the wonderful sport of rugby. The Honey Badgers compete in the women’s division of the Capital Geographic Union at Division 2 and 3 levels. With inclusivity at the forefront of our mission\, we continue to be a haven for LGBTQIA+ athletes of all skill levels. Our home pitch is at the American Legion Post 175 in Severna Park. We practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-9pm with games on Saturdays. Our 15’s seasons run in the fall and spring\, with a social 7’s season over the summer.\n\n\nWhether you’re a seasoned player or new to the sport\, we extend a warm invitation to all friendly faces seeking a rugby family. DESCRIPTION:Escape\, Embrace\, and Celebrate PRIDE at our Liberty Mountain Unlimited Pride Weekend February 23rd – 25th! We’ll be kicking off Friday Night with a kicking Rock The Mountain PRIDE edition with a dance party you won’t soon forget in the base area with a DJ\, delicious libations\, and maybe some dance competitions mixed in to top it off. Then we kick it into high gear on Saturday with a on-slope fashion show\, an Apres Deck Party\, and a McKee’s tavern takeover with a live band when the sun goes down. Then on Sunday we’ll finish the weekend in style with a Drag Brunch & Bingo in the Eagle in the Owl. Mark your calendars now for a weekend you won’t forget!

DESCRIPTION:Annapolis Arts Week\, led by AND Creative\, is back for a full week this year from June 1-7. In addition\, AND Creative has been tasked by the Anne Arundel Arts Council to expand the week into Anne Arundel Arts Month with South County Arts Week (led by the Arts Lab of South County) June 8-14 and North County Arts Week (led by Chesapeake Arts Center) June 15-21.\nThe final week will be Artist’s Week\, June 24-30 with events across the county to benefit artists: art talks\, workshops and seminars\, parties and networking events. \nProduced and led by AND Creative Studio\, this month-long celebration of the arts brings together the arts community in and around the county to present and highlight art workshops\, live music\, galleries\, festivals\, performances and more. Visit Annapolis & Anne Arundel County has created a focused marketing campaign around this great event as well as Annapolis Pride and Juneteenth events\, deeming June “Arts and Heritage Month” in our county. \n“Annapolis is overflowing with creativity. Our goal is to come together\, showcase that creativity\, and to create a broader conversation around the arts and how it lends to both beauty and economic growth\,” says Darin Gilliam\, AND Creative \nThe team at AND Creative Studios\, led by Darin Gilliam and Alison Harbaugh\, will be producing an Arts Hub located at Lightbox Studio\, 209 West Street during Annapolis Arts Week to act as an information center for the arts\, a pop up gallery and event space\, a merch station and more. Arts organizations and businesses as well as individual artists are encouraged to apply to be a part of the Arts Hub by going to the Arts Month website. \n“Having a central location for our community to gather\, to take in free art events and meet up with other creatives is so important.
