SUMMARY:Annapolis Arts Week & Anne Arundel Arts Month
DESCRIPTION:Annapolis Arts Week\, led by AND Creative\, is back for a full week this year from June 1-7. In addition\, AND Creative has been tasked by the Anne Arundel Arts Council to expand the week into Anne Arundel Arts Month with South County Arts Week (led by the Arts Lab of South County) June 8-14 and North County Arts Week (led by Chesapeake Arts Center) June 15-21.\nThe final week will be Artist’s Week\, June 24-30 with events across the county to benefit artists: art talks\, workshops and seminars\, parties and networking events. \nProduced and led by AND Creative Studio\, this month-long celebration of the arts brings together the arts community in and around the county to present and highlight art workshops\, live music\, galleries\, festivals\, performances and more. Visit Annapolis & Anne Arundel County has created a focused marketing campaign around this great event as well as Annapolis Pride and Juneteenth events\, deeming June “Arts and Heritage Month” in our county. \n“Annapolis is overflowing with creativity. Our goal is to come together\, showcase that creativity\, and to create a broader conversation around the arts and how it lends to both beauty and economic growth\,” says Darin Gilliam\, AND Creative \nThe team at AND Creative Studios\, led by Darin Gilliam and Alison Harbaugh\, will be producing an Arts Hub located at Lightbox Studio\, 209 West Street during Annapolis Arts Week to act as an information center for the arts\, a pop up gallery and event space\, a merch station and more. Arts organizations and businesses as well as individual artists are encouraged to apply to be a part of the Arts Hub by going to the Arts Month website. \n“Having a central location for our community to gather\, to take in free art events and meet up with other creatives is so important. We hope that this new addition will help to grow the arts scene\, introduce the community to what’s happening around the county during the month of June and give artists a place to present their works and talents\,” says Alison Harbaugh\, AND Creative. \nFor a full calendar of events\, itineraries for the week\, gallery directories\, and more\, guests can visit the new website for Anne Arundel A (www.annearundelarts.com). DESCRIPTION:This group provides grieving LGBTQAI+ adults (18+) the opportunity to come together to feel supported in their grief. Groups offer participants an opportunity to share their feelings\, obtain support from a licensed counselor\, and participate in activities designed to provide assistance with the grief process.
